Harry Brockway

Born in Newport, South Wales in 1958 Harry studied Sculpture at Kingston upon Thames Art School and The Royal Academy Schools, London (1981 – 1984). Trained as a stonemason he has been a self- employed stone carver and illustrator since 1989 working on projects at Wells Cathedral, Hestercombe Gardens and  Linlithgow Palace, Edinburgh to name but a few, as well as numerous memorials.

 A member of The Society of Wood Engravers since 1984 and an associate member of The Royal Society of Painter Printmakers and Engravers since 2007 Harry has produced engravings for a number of books by the Folio Society including a special edition of selected poems by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, published in 2010.

Reproductions of Harry’s original illustrations from the book “The Natural History of an English Village” depicting various scenes from across the Levels and surrounding areas, one for each month.

There will also be a selection of original wood engravings of various subjects.
