Deborah De Mornay Penny Poster

Bombus in the meadow lowres

Inspired by the countryside, and artists within her own family, Deborah has created pictures from an early age. This interest led her to study art and design and in 1983 she achieved a BA honours degree, in graphic design with a specialism in book illustration. Wishing to pass on her skills and share the pleasure of artistic work, she trained to be a teacher. She has taught art and design, to adults of all ages and abilities, both privately and within adult education. Her extended studies at art school included psychology and art as therapy; this has remained an interest, leading to further studies in communication and the therapeutic aspects of art. She paints and illustrates in a variety of media, primarily acrylic, watercolor, pen, and ink. She paints for her own pleasure and to share the pleasure of making pictures with others. “The process of making art is the translation of what we see, feel and hear internally and eternally, into a tangible form. Art can free the mind from the every day”. The exhibition was open Monday to Saturday 11 till 5 and continued until Wednesday, 23rd July.
